Infosys keeps on altering the Pattern from Infosys and this year they have done it again. They have come up as a new tier structure where in they differentiate between college grades.

  • Grade A colleges – NITs, VITs, BITs, Manipal etc
  • Grade B and C colleges – Amity, IP, LPU other state colleges

This is done to shorten the test time for Infosys we will tell you how.

Infosys Pattern Overview

Grade A Colleges –

  • Written Test
  • HR Interview(Very less probability of Technical Questions being asked)
  • Background check(Internal)

Grade B and C Colleges –

  • Written Test
  • HR Interview
  • Technical Interview
  • Background Check

The company conducts Background check before employee joins. They will check if you don’t have any criminal cases etc against you. You don’t need to worry or submit any docs etc Infosys does that internally.

Infosys Aptitude Test Pattern 2018

There are three sections in the test and the order of the test are –

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Verbal Ability

Aptitude Pattern

Number of Questions in this section are 15 and the time given to you is 25 mins. The difficulty of the test is about medium. The cut off is about 7 questions.

  • Areas, Shapes, Perimeter
  • Permutation and Combination
  • Probability
  • Profit and Loss | Mixtures and
  • Allegation
  • Speed Time and Distance / Boats and Streams
  • Time and Work

Logical Pattern

Logical has 15 Questions in the section which you need to complete in 35 mins. This is the toughest section in Infosys and cut of ranges anywhere between 10 – 11 questions the following are the Syllabus for the same –

  • Arrangements
  • Syllogisms
  • Coding Decoding
  • Number series
  • Cryptarithmetic
  • Clocks and Calendar

Verbal Pattern

This section has 40 questions to be solved and you need to solve this in 35 mins. This section is very competitive as most students score high marks the cut off ranges anywhere between 30 to 32 questions. The Syllabus is –

  • Reading Comprehension
  • Sentence Correction
  • Sentence Completion
  • Para Jumbles
  • Analogy
  • Fill in the Blanks
  • One Word Substitution


The candidate is required to have a minimum of 60% in both 10th and 12th grade.
The candidate must have greater than 6.5 CGPA in B.Tech.
